Bridge Cameras

Bridge Cameras - Hign End Digital Cameras.
These are cameras that forms a bridge between Compact and SLR cameras. They provide the advantages of compact cameras in size and of DSLR cameras in functionalities. The user can control manually many features like focus, exposure, aperture, etc. They have a wider ISO range, shooting modes and image types. Most of them have an auto-flip flash unit attached at the top.
They are often confused with DSLR cameras as they look very simillar. But unlike DSLR cameras, the lens is fixed and cannot be removed. Another notable difference between DSLR and Bridge cameras is that they lack "Single Lens-Reflex" system of DSLR. Though the lens could not be interchanged, Bridge cameras offer a wide range of zoom types from wide-angle to tele-photo. Hence they are also categorized under "Super-Zoom Cameras".
